Model 4950 Dallas Semiconductor Serialized ID Reader Details...
The Model 4950 consists of a Palm™ PDA (Model IIIe or Model IIIxe), a Model 4951 Denton Palm™ PDA accessory (compatible with additional Palm Models III, IIIc & VII), a cable with the customer mating connector and Denton software.
By utilizing the power source of the Palm™ PDA, the hand-held device will signal and read any Dallas Semiconductor ROM identifiable chip using Dallas’ One Wire Bus™ technology. Data verification is performed during the process to insure the identification chip is performing correctly. With one touch of the Palm™ PDA screen, you can read serialized identification chips ("i" buttons) manufactured by Dallas Semiconductor without the need for a dedicated desktop computer. We are offering the Model 4950 as a complete system or the Model 4951, Denton Palm™ PDA Accessory (cable and software included) for those customers who own a compatible Palm™ PDA.
